Having watched "12 Years A Slave" I watched "Harriet" with the same expectations. Same slave issues. But there is something about 12 years that made it classic, a cut above the rest. Can watch it many times

A serious vacuum. We don't have a culture of recording things. Plays against us

Specific operational frameworks to safeguard different cultures and their unique identities need to be proactively activated by culture institutions together with the custodians of that culture.

I really enjoyed the Hifa experience, theatre the most. I do hope it comes back. It shouldn't be financially out of reach to the citizens otherwise it will be a flop...

walks into my office and offers me his new latest CD to go and listen. I am a fan of his Chipo Tsodzo song having grown up and played with Chipo. So I relate to this content

reading your tweets i think we need to organise a literary talk/lecture of some sort. There is so much you can share with Byo's community of writers. Know you have a planed workshp for writers but we cud have something on the sidelines for the public.

My friend is away doing some physical training. Not sure what he is trying to prove. Anyway, while he is away we don't get to eat eat chicken Inn or salty things. We went for sweetness. Later, I will have to explain where the cake came from. But for now we must eat

Literature is meant to open one's eyes. For schools it's meant to sharpen a child's analytical skills and teach them how to think outside the box. Sadly, Zim syllabus only expects students to memorise the plot & characters. Let the students think.

I hear ARTUZ, ZIMTA and PTUZ supported the Njube teacher's flight to safety. If that is true then the three unions are teachers unions to the core. When you belong to a union all you need is to see them coming to your help in your hour of need.
