this isn't really what twitter is for, but ten years ago today my son died and I basically never talk about it with anyone other than my wife. it's taken me ten years to realize that I want to talk about it all the time. this is about grief

This is timely. We have been discussing DIBH for all R-sided breast nodal RT. There is data that it reduces lung dose () but pushback that takes more time on machine. Seared RT, if feasible, seems rational.

Can't say I see this too much, and amazed an RCT was accomplished for this rare condition (only took 5 years to accrue!), but good to know there is Level 1 evidence on hyperbaric oxygen for RT cystitis.

RADICALS Rx trial data presented by prof. Clarke. Salvage RT as efficient as adjuvant RT with fewer side-effects and 50% of pats not needing RT at all. BFS and start of horm. therapy as end-points.

16/ to my colleague & friend - one of the most kind & brilliant people I have ever known. Genuinely loved by anyone who meets him - especially by his patients. And voted teacher of the year 3 times by our residents.

When’s the last time you took a pause to reflect on your values? How do they show up for you? Guide you? Does your current role/job/organization align with your values? See the list below, which if any of this list of values would be your top 3-4? Share?

The corporatization of medicine has profoundly changed the tenor of medical practice. Somewhere along the line, the medical profession was ceded to the health care industry. Many of us no longer recognize the profession we entered.

With being #1 or #2 cause of mortality, an oncology block requirement would be helpful - 1wk medonc, 1wk surg onc, 1wk rad onc, and 1 week palliative care. Would give context if done in multiD manner.

Hearing for the third time today that asymmetry can be the first sign of lobular breast cancer. Great awareness for everyone!
