A walk at isn't complete without the explosive song of Cetti's warbler every few yards, but they're so hard to see skulking in reeds. Here's why. First decent pix in 3 years 'cos so much was frozen this morning that they came out looking for food.

Catching up with yesterday' pix. Edge of the Estuary. High tide and the lowering sun coincided. Dunlin performed spectacular aerobatic dislays. Curlew waited in their high tide saltmarsh roost. Shelduck made the most of the remaining mud. East Usk Lighthouse.

Definitely making the most of the sunshine here at this week! The lagoons are frozen again this morning and instead of swimming, the has taken to rolling around in the frost instead! Photo:

Fabulous early morning at Goldcliff lagoons - thick frost, wonderful clear, bright light and so much wildlife. Black-necked grebe; Marsh Harrier; Snipe; Red fox with Lapwings. Late for work.

Today at we had the challenge of building a giant birds nest 🐦 We worked together and showed great teamwork skills! It had to be big enough for all of us to fit in and we did it! ✅😃
