Our station opened in 1901. Our current lifeboat is a Trent class ALB 14-29 Inner Wheel II. We have the second largest tidal range in the world at 14mtrs.

Barry Dock RNLI lifeboat was launched on service at 10:45 last night (14/10/19) to a sinking yacht with 2 people and 4 dogs on board 3 miles west of Clevedon. 4 lifeboat stations involved. All safely towed to Barry harbour.
