The launch of our Traditional Sixes league is still a little ways out, but we wanted to let people know some more details about it. We are very excited to have a chance at showing a new player base in TF2 why we have quickly become the largest league in NA TF2.

Yes, the top 4 divisions will be paid and the bottom 2 will be free to play.

This is cool and all but how are you organizing the maps played each week? Is it going to be the map picking system that ESEA used or a system more similar to ETF2L’s 2 maps per week rotation?

This is something that is still being discussed. We will have all the details of our map system, map list, etc... At the time of launch (if not sooner) so players can make an informed decision.

You're Scottish and not coming for the drink? Tbh US LANs will never match EU (or UK *cough*) LANs due to the liquor regulations at the venues. The hotel parties are pretty dope, but I get anXiety re: our noise levels. After party for Rewind2 @ 's was legendary tho

Right now the plan would be for HL and Trad. Sixes, but we'll do some surveys prior to the start of the season to make sure there's enough interest. If not, then we'd pivot to either NR sixes or Prolander.

Curious to know what the skill divisions are going to be like. Where would you consider someone like mid open in Esea to be here?

no one uses it in NR6s

I believe that one of the reasons it wasn't used in NR Sixes, is to use it effectively you really have to play with it a decent amount. And given that almost all leagues have it banned, no one practices using it, since there's no point.

I think if players were more comfortable switching their play style to fit the weapon play style. Then we would have seen more use out of it. Since it's not a straight scattergun replacement. Only 2 shots and need to understand how to abuse it effectively to make it worth while

It's currently banned in RGL pugs, but from what I've heard the pugrunners are going to change some things about pugs after the Prolander season ends so it might be unbanned

Our PUG ban list is larger than our normal whitelist. We banned many weapons that were being used to troll, rather than play in earnest. And you'd basically be playing 5v6 or 6v7. It's helped make our pug games more competitive.
