Thoughts, prayers & best wishes with wonderful Yellow Wiggle Greg Page following his heart attack last night during the Wiggles bushfire relief concert. Like so many, we had every VHS tape & knew every song thanks to our girls growing up with Greg, Murray, Jeff & Anthony.

Today we have farewelled volunteer Samuel McPaul who died while fighting the Green Valley bush fire at Jingelic last month. Samuel’s wife Megan has been presented with a Commissioner’s Commendation for Service and a Commissioner’s Commendation for Bravery.

A big thank you to for housing our 737 LAT today at Sydney Airport to give her a much-needed mechanical check and clean. 'Marie Bashir' has completed 442 drops so far this season, which equates to over 6million litres of water, gel & retardant!

I’m up north today to thank our Emergency Services and inspect the work being done. Touring the Kempsey Shire with Recovery Coordinator Euan Ferguson it’s important for us all to remember that the North Coast fires and recovery is still a priority.

Joined Premier & Comm Baxter today for an update and briefing at the Shoalhaven FCC. Extraordinary work by all the fire fighters and IMT, slowly gaining the upper hand and really looking forward to some forecast rain this week. Thanks again all and well done

The famous sails of the have been lit up in a special tribute tonight. While there have been many people, agencies and groups involved in the bush fire effort, there is special recognition for volunteers who have given up their time to help others.

Caught up with the team this morning from the AFAC NRSC at HQ. Over 5000 personnel from across Australia, New Zealand, US & Canada have helped NSW. A remarkable job moving people & equipment around NSW and home again. Thanks again team & all those assisting
