Imo Prince Charles deserves this role. He did a lot to be the Head of the Commonwealth

It should be William, younger and more connected with the young that take part.

How is there any choice in the matter unless Prince Charles himself chooses not to succeed?

What? I thought it was automatic unless he renounced the throne. Someone school me here.

No, far from it. There is no automatic right of succession. The 53 Commonwealth leaders must decide it for themselves.

I thought they met much earlier to hash this out? That one plan was to rotate the leadership amongst the commonwealth nations.

I hope Charles is given the role, he deserves it. I’m tired of people constantly calling for William to usurp his father. Will isn’t in any rush to be King, I don’t know why his supporters keep pushing it. Let Will do Will and let Charles do Charles.

Unfortunately, he is not the right person for the top job-never was. The queen needs to stay as long as she can.

He has his faults (and who doesn’t?) but really, he has worked quite hard! I hope that he is able to succeed his mother
