Dad was detained in a detention center where consulted. Dad accepted a deportation to be quickly reunited w/ his infant child. However, the Dad was deported & NOT his child. The now 8-month-old baby has been in ORR custody for 4 months.

. Thank you for responding. Unbelievable! 🙏🏿🙏🏻🙏🏽🙏🙏🏾 Is ORR equipped to care for an 8-month old baby? Also, it was said that recently a 14-year old boy was “medicated” for anxiety without his mother’s permission. Is that standard operating procedure?

Perhaps I'm cynical, but I would guess that the plan is to adopt out these kids to nice white christian couples, now that it's harder to do int'l adoptions. Don't forget how much $$ flows to republicans from adoption industry. Why else are these tiny kids being detained and lost?

A child of any age can be separated from parents if there are any indications of abuse.

How do we fight this? What can the average citizen do? Our senators talk big on twitter but no one does anything.

Why was the baby not allowed to go with his father back to Mexico? To punish the parents? So, now an infant is the responsibility of the govt.? I just don't get it.

with kids in foster care, we cannot give psychotropic medications without parental consent or a letter of medical necessity from a psychiatrist and a court order....but who knows. :(

There are a lot of good questions being asked. Out of respect for the privacy of the family, we can’t disclose more. But this is not a family from Mexico. What can you do? Call and demand an end to zero tolerance. Call your senator and demand legislative action.
