I wish and a safe and full recovery. This is a reminder that this virus can reach anyone, anywhere. We must all continue to do our part in preventing the spread of the virus by practicing social distancing, washing hands, and wearing a mask.

I am about to chair the housing committee (and you should watch), but let me just say... People will make political that which should not be. The First Lady and Governor are good people. We disagree on things sometimes, sure. But, I hope both can stay healthy and can be well.

I figure the fortunate person who follows all my socials gets to see the full gamut of (and surrounding) opinion. Best comments still come from LinkedIn though, where folks just really, really, really want us to connect over coffee for networking.

After city staff and departments measure the impact of such cuts, they--including all departments--will report back. The proposed budget document will be released in mid-February 2021. Mayor and Council will vote on the budget in March 2021.

This afternoon, Mayor Lucas helped volunteers at the Don Bosco Center distribute a record-breaking 1,000 boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables available to Kansas Citians in need. Since late May, the agency has been distributing more than 300 fresh produce boxes every week.

"While the committee partnership may not be irretrievably broken, it is obviously materially strained." Nevertheless, important work lies ahead, particularly regarding the KCI terminal modernization program. My comments on how we maintain our commitment are in the letter below.

The official start of Fall - the Fall/Autumnal Equinox - is THIS MORNING, at 9:30 AM EDT. This marks the time when the day-to-night line, called the terminator, is perfectly vertical from pole to pole and the sun is directly over the equator.

My heart breaks for another baby to be buried in our city. Somebody knows what happened. Protecting a murderer like this, who fires on the innocent, isn’t adhering to any code, it’s killing our community. Praying the victims who survived will pull through.

Really appreciate the inclusive nature that is taking to interviewing the four city manager finalists. Huge decision for our community. Thank you , Council and city staff for making this discussion possible. First up is the deputy.
