🔥SMOKE ALERT🔥 QFES, along with the Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy (DNRME), Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) and Tablelands Regional Council will conduct a hazard reduction burn today (26/06) to the north-east of Herberton, along Mr Ida Fire Trail.

For more than four decades, Royd Kennedy has been a firefighter. On the weekend, he retired from his 44-year career which began in NZ and finished with him as Station Officer at Smithfield Fire Station. Thanks for all your hard work Royd!

🔥SMOKE ALERT🔥 The Department of Natural Resources and Mines will conduct several hazard reduction burns in Asset Protection Zones near Gladstone Monto Rd, Nagoorin, from 1-5 Jun. Zones are located in the bushland areas between the houses/town infrastructure and the fire breaks.

Afternoon Brisbane southsiders! There’s some smoke lingering near Griffith Uni, Nathan Campus, this afternoon from a planned burn in the area. Close windows and doors, and keep respiratory medication close by. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and to conditions.
