. told that Notre-Dame would be re-built 'in a way consistent with our modern diverse nation'. What does he mean? Notre-Dame as a multi-faith centre He was speaking into mic. In subsequent loops the footage was cut just before he uttered it

Someone on facebook posted this on my page: I watched France24 for about an hour last night, and saw the clip of him saying it. He was speaking into a microphone held by a reporter. In subsequent loops the footage was cut just before he uttered it.

No no no no no please no. We can't let anything other than a restoration occur. Nothing modern or diverse. It can't happen. Our Lady, Queen of Heaven, Holy Mother, help us. We want your Cathedral to honor YOU, not our disgusting modern age.

Does Henry 8th come to mind? Is Macron going to start a Notre Dame Reformation?

If they intend it to be multi anything....the Catholic Church should say heck no, shake the ashes off its feet and take it’s relics and build elsewhere.

If the reconstruction does not lead a Catholic multidisciplinary group, Macron will not participate. In addition to the horrible taste it has, it seems that the appreciation of beauty and art is not his thing.

Let's hope the restored Notre Dame doesn't come with a glass globe and an islamic totem.
