Probably ~12 months ago we restructured our monitoring away from to . As part of that, we restructured our alerting policy, dramatically reducing the number of alerts sent. The newer alerts were only sent in "real emergencies", and they require action. /1

I just added a guide to the docs on using JSON-based service discovery. Honestly, I'm surprised that more systems don't do this given the extreme flexibility. It even listens for changes and auto-reloads!
