Can't wait to hang out in Edmonton this week. If I don't return, it's because I'm completely frozen. Literally.

"Every human being has a great, yet often unknown gift: to care, to be compassionate, to become present to the other, to listen, to hear and receive...If that gift would be set free and made available, miracles could take place." ~ Henri Nouwen

1. Simply pointing out whether someone is left or right wing isn't winning the argument. 2. If a joke is good enough, it can be enjoyed by anyone. 3. It's not all about you. 4. Just because you're offended, doesn't mean you're right.

Good point. But, I think tensions started in 1953 when the US helped put an Iranian dictator in power in the place of a democratically elected ruler. Then 1979, then 9/11, then, then... Obama, Trump, etc. US drone strikes might be a symptom not a cause...

“To be bored, therefore, does not mean that we have nothing to do, but that we question the value of the things we are so busy doing. The great paradox of our time is that many of us are busy and bored at the same time.”

That’s a good point Tom. It’s because that passage is talking Hades (the intermediate state) not Gehenna (the final state). So it’s a bit irrelevant for the topic of hell. But it is related, at least, and I should have mentioned it.
