The reality of Kashmir is opposite of what Gen Raju wants the nation to believe. Question for this cerebral general: Why is 13 lakh strong Indian Army been unable - since 30 years - to end so-called militancy by beating 6 lakh Pak Army?

Do I overestimate China’s real national power now & overplay it’s determination to become world number one power by 2049? Ask the American experts since we believe them more than our own!

After signing BECA, India crosses rubicon in relations with China by becoming de facto Military ally of US. War lines are drawn, question is no longer if but when - China takes the decisive step. Hereafter, Peace between India & China will be ephemeral!

The industrial scale dissimulation has begun. Mohan Bhagwat in his speech also glossed over the fact that China is already sitting on our territory & that it is 4 us to take it back. Raksha Mantri too blandly says “Nobody can take an inch of or land” when it is already taken.

NSA Doval, “It is not necessary that we only fight where you want to. India will take the battle to where the threat originates” - taking war inside Pak & China. The Doval doctrine: Declare intent before acquiring capability!

Wrong to say China in corner globally - Chinese conducts foreign policy on real & not potential national power. If has unique capability to negotiate & show muscle simultaneously, its tactical moves are not end in themselves but to support big picture. Reality is US is upended!

In my assessment, the alliance of regional parties in Kashmir is too late in the day. Will not go far - makes news & no more. Don’t think Kashmiri’s trust them any longer. I predict more involvement of China in Kashmir affairs in near future!

It is the other way round. China holds all cards - make no mistake on that. Time these fellows were told by PM Modi to abstain from commenting on defence matters especially China!

I have been thinking about starting virtual discussion classes on regional defence & geopolitics for SAARC students after I send my book manuscript to publishers. Aim is to share what I have learnt & by discussion learn more. Not sure if it is worth my time & theirs?

India’s national security at its NADIR since Independence including 1962 - it is scary. Reason: We are unwilling to face truth - won’t say more than that!
