Pain out of proportion to physical examination always suggests a serious pathology (often vascular). Of course, it can also be malingering, but we get paid to be paranoid. Abdominal pain in the elderly is a hand grenade waiting to go off. I eval with advanced imaging every time.

Depression: How do we know who is at risk? Ever heard of the Plimsoll line? Read more here. I wish people had a Plimsoll Line. Maybe we should assume EVERYONE is at risk. Vaccinate for wellness like we do for tetanus.
