I actually know who they are and I never recognise anybody, not even people I know.

It's true - even when his heating is on my brother's thermostat is set to 14c.

Yes! I do that with my legs when I'm wearing a dress. My old thermal leggings are seeing a lot of use under jogging bottoms too. It is not a glamorous look.

My energy bills were very scary. I hope they improve.

Me before Smartmeter: tropical temperatures, windows slightly open for fresh air, using the oven to cook. Me after Smartmeter installation: typing in the dark wearing a coat and fingerless gloves, eating raw carrots.

That's very funny. I love when it goes in the pint. And the pants. Sometimes I wonder how much of your life you spend on Youtube...

I have responded in good faith to Margaret. I do hope we are not too late to help people like her, so unfairly manipluated and discombobulated by cynical social media messaging driven by dark forces.

It reminds me of the friend (many years ago) invited to a smart event and, panicking about dress code, unhelpfully told to wear her "good jewels."

I was editing the copy edit with a six week old and no childcare so my response to that phrase was more emotional than it probably ought to have been.

YES. I think once wrote about pepper in this way. Also, everyone now assumes that pepper is black. But I like white pepper in mash.

I wrote "season to taste" in most recipes in Wine Dine Dictionary (I felt just a couple actually needed pepper). My copy editor changed every single one to "season with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper." There was a big ruckus over what season to taste means.

I disagree! A holiday involves a beach/aeroplane/ski slope/hotel/villa/floppy hat. Other days off perhaps to complete a tax form/help school PTA/go to hospital appointments - they are annual leave.

Fair point. It’s just that many things about the current tactical voting lobby feel horribly horribly wrong.

LABOUR OFFICIALLY GIVE UP IN CHELSEA & FULHAM. Every Labour activist in the constituency has been emailed telling them to go and campaign elsewhere. But if enough Labour supporters here vote tactically, we can beat the Conservatives.

Sainsbury’s has Lucky Saint and Ocado, Morrisons and Tesco carry Big Drop apparently. I did some work with Harviestoun’s and know that wheesht doesn’t have much distribution yet (it’s quite new) but it’s 0.0%
