Still a good deal of material to remove from the nose-gear well before it will clear the intake... hopefully we won't go through the bottom of the well. Then I still have to fit the intake, which I know will require surgery as well 🤔 Fury

Lots of nice resin detail on this 1/48th Grand Phoenix Fury however I'll have to figure out a way to cram all these parts into the nose of this aircraft... and as it stands now it doesn't look like it fits 😏

The things you learn and sometimes wish you hadn't. My research shows that the Red Devils didn't fly the FJ-4B version of the Fury - which means a little backdating is necessary. I'll be getting rid of the antenna fairing on the underside and a few minor other things 🤔

DZ353 this aircraft was lost on 9.6.44 while attacking railway lines it was the only Mosquito lost on the sortie. Piloted by F/lt harry Steere and Australian F/o Kenneth “windy” Gail both KIA.
