Why is calculating it's origin and looking for evidence of past explosions {supernova/etc.} not the default position here? What does Occam's razor really say, it's a rock.

If it was a comet when pass near sun should be vaporise, burn,change shape. That left only some gas from ice carry from spacetrip.

If it were a comet, the like of which we see from our solar system, maybe. But this isn't from our solar system.

Just like artists are brought in to help with visualising data that intellectually programmed minds are incapable of translating; The same goes for other neurologically Gifted minds that can understand Objects existing outside the scope of a humans current fragmented reality.
