Here’s welcoming the crowd to a near sold out screening at la belle of CYRANO DE BERGERAC (1923) dir. Augusto Genina with its gorgeous, dreamy & opulent hand-stencilled colour, accompanied by waves & ripples of music magic from John Sweeney.

Just saw . Excellent film. So original. Rich & poor in Korea with a superb storyline and fantastic twists. No wonder its an Oscar nomination. Also, love . What a lovely experience. An old fashioned cinema that makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed.

Can’t wait to see Cyrano de Bergerac (1925) - trains willing! It’s one of the most gorgeous silent films, employing the “Pathé Stencil Process” over its three-year gestation to produce an astonishingly colourful 113 minutes – the Avatar of its day!

Variety, variety... variety. Is the spice of life you see. Three films this weekend. Peter Cushing: In His Own Words Birds of Prey - with my feminist, kick-ass daughter - at some Odeon, and Cyrano
