Can’t wait to see how memory/cpu utilization holds up as you get full feature parity. Amazing how much better performing native apps are than apps using cross-platform languages.

Um, folks. Hold down the “space” bar on iOS keyboard and the cursor turns into a trackpad-like pointer and can be inserted anywhere in the text area. Until this many years old I always tapped to place the insertion cursor. No more.

There are so many other security controls that SIP implements that disabling it is overkill. Apple should have given a better UX for this. Make them entitlements if needed, pop up a single window during first load. Also an “allow all apps access to X” would be nice...

I have that and use it. But in those I move the password into a new vault and family has access for as long as I leave it in the vault. I mean a way to share a password for a moment with someone you don’t usually share with. I can send as plain text but that’s insecure.

It'd be awesome if Apple had a technology in iOS that they could apply to MacOS for this... y'know like on-demand resources...

I would love for the ability to share a password from with a friend/family member through a web interface. Like a share password securely for X time.

Kind of. They put it in the Update section of App Store... BUT it was clearly different from standard updates that include security updates. It was a big huge banner at the top. For Catalina they’ve now made security updates a tiny little footnote in Software Updates.

The current version of BASH is and has some security vulnerabilities. It’s on the EOL path by Apple. They won’t move to the newer BASH because of the licensing terms, ZSH has been in MacOS for a while and has a lot more functionality... I’d highly recommend getting to know it.

this is something MacAdmins needed to know ahead of time. Users now miss the more critical security updates/patches that sit below, and it generates confusion to users. It makes sense that you want people to update... but this needed to be communicated.

Amazing how many variants of a profile creator tool there are now. It’d be awesome if all the work across all these tools were pooled. Imagine how cool of a profile creator the community would have

Agreed, many companies have a decent ability for admins to setup RBAC, but not enough info on what access is needed for specific tasks. (Enrolling a computer on behalf of a user is a great example for Jamf Pro) SCCM as I recall has decent RBAC controls.

I think RBAC became over the past few years because for ages people just gave whatever access got the job done. (Ex: in Jamf Pro a person who just pulls reports shouldn’t have the ability to create computers... or even create reports if they’re just pulling reports)

my wife likes the iPad app, but has noticed whenever she switches between Canvas and another app it takes her back to the dashboard home screen with blank main area. Would love to have it open to her last location. How can we submit feedback?

A group of someone’s would probably be more feasible. Is there already a list of features people want to implement it?

Hey Ricky, if your team is over how To setup 2FA on Apple IDs, I’d love to see the experience improved for people with multiple Apple IDs. Having to sign out of your iCloud account on an iPhone to activate 2FA on a different AppleID is no fun.

Why 29 and not 32? 29 seems random...
