Yet another country doesn’t want our plastic waste. That’s one reason why we need my bill, , which requires plastic bottle manufacturers to include recycled materials when making CRV beverage containers.

Congrats to the 28 recipients who were awarded nearly $3M in grants to help them buy refrigeration units. I championed the program so that corner markets can offer fresh & healthy foods to underserved communities where grocery stores are scarce. More info:

Since my AB 1046 announcement, there have been myths about EV’s producing more pollution than dirty gas cars. This is a myth. Here’s a great article from Forbes comparing clean and dirty cars.

Rather than apologize for his racist tweets stokes hate at his latest rally. If we all went back to where our ancestors came from, there would be no one left in America except for the Native Americans who were here first.

CA voters need to watch out for these two bail initiatives and not be fooled. Bail is about letting people who can afford it out of jail regardless of whether or not you are considered "high risk".

Oakland becomes 2nd CA city to ban all its depts, incl police, from using facial recognition software, citing concerns over inaccuracies, racial bias, privacy. Those same reasons are why we need my bill, , banning facial recog from police body cams.

Happy to discuss further for future bills but will stay focus on the EVs for this bill. This bill is reforming an existing program. The Clean Vehicle Rebate Program.

Solution to reducing the greenhouse gases emitted by dirty cars. While getting people into transit, bikes and walking would be ideal, EV's are the best transport for people who drive.

Could we get 100 out of their cars and into transit if we gave them a free pass? Cost isn't the issue with transit. It's the ability to get from one place to another in a timely fashion. Additionally, this is for entire state not just SF. Areas where there is limited transit.

We have to start somewhere! While I envision emission-free transportation for the entire state of CA, I support taking steps to get us there. Great plan proposed in San Francisco to boost . If we want clean air, we need clean cars.
