Any person with a conscience or a f*cking brain would not have uttered that excuse out loud. "My dog is more important than kids in cages" Put the lawyer AND his dog in jail. Problem solved.

While I understand the tendency to want to turn everything absurd in these absurd times, was this the reason stated in the order from the judge? Was the request for this weekend because what fed cts. are open on weekends normally?

...what do you mean by meeting? Status hearing? Wasn't there a hearing today? Isn't this the same judge who ordered reunification? I don't know. As an attorney for 14 years, something about how this story is being presented sounds severely skewed to me.

Is it really a deadline, if dog sitting can delay a meeting about extending a deadline that is not being met?

This cannot be real. Lawyers drags themselves into court horribly sick because they (we) cannot get setovers. I've never heard of such a thing.

Right....? I covered a trial a few weeks ago where a judge wouldn't excuse a juror to attend her son's high school graduation. Dog sitting? For real?
