There are 14 million union workers in America who have fought hard for strong, employer-provided health benefits. Medicare for All Who Want It protects their plans and union members' freedom to choose the coverage that's best for them.

🙋🏻‍♂️ union chief negotiator here. This is absolutely wrong. Medicare for all would free up bargaining power for wages and the common good, and it would protect union members against a bad employer pulling healthcare during a strike. Medicare for all is a gift to the labor movement.

My union strikes next week for pay and conditions-- not for healthcare. Because it's the UK, and we all already have that. It's crazy to me that anyone can argue with a straight face that anyone, union or not, would not want public healthcare.

Those employer-provided benefits can easily be stripped away soon as workers go on strike

In Australia we have . So employers can’t hold healthcare hostage in negotiations & folks have healthcare for life. So union negotiations for 4 weeks vacation, 10 days paid sick & carer’s leave, 18 wks paid maternity leave, 38 hr work wk & higher wages, etc. WIN!

Most Americans can’t believe we get all of this as a given. Australians & allies take these things for granted. It is our normal. It shouldn’t be so hard to get. It’s called DEMOCRATIC SOCIALISM. OF THE PEOPLE. BY THE PEOPLE. FOR THE PEOPLE. People power works.

I literally cannot understand why anyone would want the "freedom" to choose their own healthcare. No, please put experts in charge. I literally lack the capacity to choose healthcare, especially if I was literally dying. Who are these people who love their insurance?
