What I love about this man is his ability to stay 100% on message while the trashfire of neoliberalism rages all around him/ us.

This is a big deal. The Senate just approved my resolution with & to end U.S. involvement in the war in Yemen. Here's why that matters, and what has to happen next.

.: 45 years after the passage of the War Powers Act, the U.S. Senate has come together to use that authority for the first time in history and say that the constitutional responsibility for war rests with the Congress, not the president.

I have students whom are Yemenis refugees. I love them. I want a future where there are no more wars. I am grateful for the senate’s vote to end military involvement in Yemen that was lead by Senator Chris Murphy and Senator Mike Lee.

Most of the speakers and organizers are Republicans, and you can bet they know who the socialist is. When I skipped Tuesday morning class to participate in a conference call, three conference organizers cornered me at the coffee urn and threatened to withhold my reimbursements

Funny you should say that, because I’m finishing “judge school,” which is a kind of orientation for all newly elected judges across Texas. Remember when AOC went to that new-member briefing with only corporate interests speaking? Yeah, it’s like that.

The final vote on resolution to end US involvement in the war in Yemen will be held tomorrow. 6 GOP amendments - mostly to weaken the bill - start at 1:45pm. Please keep the pressure on to vote YES on SJ Res 54 & NO on the amendments.

Can confirm that Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D) did not whip Democratic votes on the Yemen vote Spokeswoman says: “We weren’t whipping. We always urge a no vote on the Rule; it’s typically a party-line vote.”

"Speaker Ryan is not allowing a vote on my resolution to stop the war in Yemen because many Republicans will vote with us and he will lose the vote. As a result, more Yemeni children will die."

Collin Peterson, one of the five Dems who voted to block a vote on Yemen, says he doesn't know "a damn thing" about the war there. Reminder: 85,000 children have died from starvation as a result of this war, 17 million Yemeni at risk of malnutrition.
