I remember when Piccadilly Gardens was just that - and not always very nice , but could have been restored- what took its place is an awful concrete blot on the cityscape - big mistake and no longer deserves the garden description.

Agree - use of the word “so “ in reply to a question is irritating - politicians do it all the time to prepare - just pause and reply in normal conversation

At last, debate about the ridiculous overuse of the word “like “ in every sentence is now hotting up - drives me mad - it’s lazy speech, part of general dumbing down , and schools should help youngsters with speaking skill.
