Tonight's Stop the War demo in Westminster contains a mix of many views: - Those who think bombing never helps - Those who think the PM should have asked MPs first - But also, those who think Assad is a 'good man' because 'he's a doctor'.

Is that the balance of the hundreds, one third of these views each?

I haven't counted up every single view, but she was part of a group of about 20-30 who were defending Assad, as you can see. I think I'm quite clear in my tweet that others were there protesting different issues.

Just to stress that this particular protestor was among a group of around 20-30 people I came across who were supporting Assad. There may have been others, but many at the rally were also there to condemn him and all violence, especially the UK/US/French bombing at the weekend.

Assad was condemned by every speaker there, which was followed by overwhelming agreement by the crowd. Yet you decide to pick this person as your example of a demo attendee. Gutter journalism once again.

I’ve made it clear in not one but two tweets that hers was not the only view there. But she was part of a substantial group arguing his case, whether you like it or not I’m afraid.

Thank you. I have retweeted and also made clear from the beginning that hers was not the only view, or even necessarily a widely supported one.

You missed out the neo-liberal propagandists for war like yourself looking round for outliers to make fun of.

I don’t condone personal attacks and I certainly haven’t encouraged them. She was part of a group who all held the same view, as you can see clearly in the clip. I think it’s worth reporting that view within the broader context that many others there did not share it.

Making fun of those concerned and protesting against war. Choosing your target to tweet video of. I hope you are proud of yourself.

Nowhere have I ‘made fun’. I tweeted a range of views, made clear that this particular clip doesn’t represent Stop the War, and condemn personal attacks on the protestor in question. Propaganda/fake news would be pretending her viewpoint didn’t exist in the crowd.
