Before you all head off I want to share that I'm in the early stages of planning a virtual run/walk for next year to celebrate our 5th birthday. 💜

Exercise generally is fab. For me it was swimming and a group class... now I am back at work I joined my workplace running club. 2 lunch hours/week runs=happy&relaxed mummy.

I found writing so theraputic. It's why I started my blog in the end. Took alot of courage to share it all. But it helps. x

I think with therapy and mental health it's about finding the right combination that works for you. Be it CBT alone. Or Counselling and medication. Sometimes it's a trial and error, but keep trying till you find the right fit

At times, I found that listening to music/singing helped but it was not a patch on CBT and taking an SSRI.

I hassled them for therapy + was eventually sent to a psychologist who made me sit on the floor + play with daughter while he whispered reassuring things? Was so creepy + strange + made me feel mega paranoid + No one prepared me! Needed 1-2-1 talking therapy badly

Try and build up to it. Even 10 minutes around the block. It'll do wonders x

I have been mentioning running a lot recently as it's something I've discovered that has done my mental health wonders. Even things like buggy walks to get fresh air and adult company is therapy of a different kind

Likewise. Never looked into alternative therapies. .. but yes, music helped. Lots of Radio 3 and 6Music. And swimming. ..

I suggest alternative therapies to clients as part of over all treatment Anything that can reduce stress & anxiety is always good But only use them if you feel comfortable

I listen to a hell of a lot of music - I'll have a mad dance around with Imogen or by myself just as an energy release. Never thought of looking into alternative therapies!
