Wow. I know we lost some arms from last year, but you think we are going to lose 42-0 in a baseball game next year? Jeez guys. You think your assistant coach of the year Marini would allow that to happen??

Or keep your hand on the bat the entire time and actually verbalize asking for time?

Not the prettiest swing out there. However, man on third base with an 0-2 count [less than two outs] and you have to get that run in. Compete.

Losses never define us; Not in sports, not in life. It’s how we RESPOND to losses that define who we are!

If I were a college coach going to scout a player here would be my simple checklist of what i hope to see: 1. Having fun playing baseball. 2. High energy, hustler. 3. Makes the game look easy. 4. Is a great teammate. 5. Manages failure well. 6. High baseball IQ. 7. Coachable

Snit in Acuña: “he didn’t run. You’ve got to run. It’s not going to be acceptable here. You can’t do that, we’re trying to do something special here. You can’t let your team down like that. He owned up to it. It’s over, he’ll learn from it.”

1. If you’re trying to combat specialization this will make it worse! 2. College and HS baseball seasons coincide. Can we have some fall practices so our kids get exposure? 3. We already have to combat weather, spring break, graduation, Memorial Day and a short enough season.

The lost of situational hitting saddens me. I get it, Slug % is cool but so many cheap runs are lost because the game says pulling a ball in the air is more productive than hitting behind a runner who led off an inning with a 2B and giving up the out.
