For us, `tsc --watch` took ~300s to init whereas `tsc --incremental false --noEmit` took 16s Related issue with similar reports: Of course this does mean you lose file watching, but it might be worth switching if there's a significant difference in speed

If you're running `tsc` solely for type checking and `tsc --watch` or `tsc --incremental` is slow for you, try `tsc --noEmit`. There is a known problem with "declaration emit" taking a long time for some apps. This is triggered by `watch`/`incremental` *even when using `noEmit`*

Can you define bad in this case? IIUC, when you navigate back the browser will nearly always retrieve the HTML page from cache, unless you set `no-store` (but you might not want to do that).

What would happen if a user clicks this link then clicks the browser back button? My guess is the browser cache would be used for the back button navigation, thus the user would end up with the old bundle *and* the timeout would start all over again.

Trying a horrible experiment... Which will the Twitter algorithm pick: Mitch McConnell or Barack Obama?

if someone posts a issue/PR, and you have a definite ("no") answer right away, if you post that response and at the same time close the issue, it also says "won't discuss further". but if you respond while leaving issue open, it invites even a cordial closure to the conversation.

I think so! The key thing is that the function/component is receiving another function/component and doing something with it. That makes it "higher order". It doesn't matter if the function is a simple param or nested inside of an object.

The definition of a higher order function is a function which either returns a function or receives a function as an argument. So a "render prop component" is still a form of "higher order component"?

I wish there was "emulate focus/hover on *selected* element", so it would help keep elements visible which depend on focus/hover themselves (rather than the whole page). In the meantime I'm using this method: .

Ever tried debugging an element that keeps disappearing when it loses focus once you start using devtools? Well dang me to heck there is an "Emulate a focused page" option in just for that 🤯 (you can get it from the [⌘]+[P] Command Menu, or Global Preferences)

I just want to say I hope younger people who follow me will take their health seriously. No amount of grinding or stressful work is worth damaging your body long-term, I really regret not having a better balance, take your time, and good sleep is critical.

I've been using Homebrew for macos for what feels like forever now and I still have no clue whatsoever what a "keg", "cask", or "cellar" are.

I need everyone to understand that millennials don’t have printers at home. Please. I’m so tired of driving to print and scan documents.
