Something I've noticed with AirPods: after a while, it connects but doesn't receive audio, so I have to re-pair it. This used to happen with my iPhone X, and still happens with my Pixel 3. Very frustrating.

“Furthermore, newsrooms are far from the only industry big tech has disrupted…This proposal treats the media as an exception. If we focus on our own industry, we risk…creating the impression we are advocating for ourselves while everyone else just has to deal with it.”

And some recommended to purchase them anyway because the software will improve the features in the future. Same fallacy with the current iPad Pro which is a beast holded back by iOS. Never bet on future software updates with Apple. Always disappointing.

You could put a Driving shortcut on the home screen and just use that to launch it instead of the main app icon: With the notification, you could change its settings (e.g. minimise it):

I will add that HomeKit stuff has gotten especially frustrating recently. Commanding lights is often followed but grumbling because only one light worked or the pods just refused to do anything “I tried!” they say.

They’ve decided on a services strategy for music / ‘home’ / video. HomePod now has no raison d’être (sadly).

I thought it was a galaxy brain level move to let car companies and other hardware vendors white label Cortana

It's super interesting that critical tweets I cited here have been deleted: Seems this isn't a far-fetched theory after all 😅:

Official confirmation from Microsoft of my prediction: Will Apple have the same realisation? HomePod reviews summed up Siri's state: it's become a burden, holding back other endeavours. You don't hear companies talking up their Siri apps (Siri has apps?).

Kudos to for having the ability to, essentially, swallow pride and recognise the need to de-prioritise Cortana and pivot to the same strategy as their smartphone one:

Google hired the architect behind Apple's A-series chips last year. They'll get there. The sooner the better. They'll need their own processors if FuchsiaOS is going to live up to it's potential.
