Thank you, Batya. While I engage on this issue, I would also like to invite folks to engage in the issue of 2nd-class citizenship of Puerto Ricans. If we expect all to come fully informed, then we should all be informed on 5k Puerto Ricans dying due to their political status.

The reason some say I’m “radical” is because I am unafraid to look ahead & explore or champion ideas like: ✅ A Federal Jobs Guarantee ✅ Expand Federal Student Loan Forgiveness ✅ If we’re not courageous enough to push the needle forward, we will get taken backward.

When I call a Congressional candidate Progressive, it’s because they meet ALL of these standards: ✅ No Corporate 💰 ✅ Medicare for All ✅ Tuition/Debt-free College + Trade School ✅ Criminal Justice Reform ✅ Green New Deal ✅ Common-Sense Gun Reform ✅ Equal Rights for All

A MILLION thanks to for riding bikes with us today! I’m excited for a rep who understands that safe streets *is* a social justice issue, & the fight to improve life in Queens means fighting for better walk & infrastructure

Although bike lanes aren’t strictly a Congressional issue, they’re certainly part of the larger picture of a just transition to a sustainable economy + city. I don’t own a bike (it’s too dangerous in the BX) and use public transit. Joining for a ride was eye-opening!

Ever notice how the “how do you pay for it” argument is selectively employed against working class benefits? FT: “For those who make politically motivated forecasts of doom for US fiscal health, it may be their own credibility that ends up paying a price.”

It honestly was a breath of fresh air. brings her own self and style, yet is true to Buckley’s legacy of rigorous exploration of political thought. There’s a lot people can learn from how she engages those with different views than her.

I really believe this conversation w/ , an avowed conservative, on is a model for political discourse. We weren’t there to cut down or discredit one other, but to have a conversation of depth & substance - even if from different viewpoints.

It was hard for me to leave my restaurant job. When you work long days in a hard job with thoughtful and funny people, it very much becomes a family. These photos are from just a few months ago. I love these people a lot. My focus is to make life better for folks like these.
