Sounds interesting. I wouldn’t begin to try & comprehend that world, let alone have an opinion as it’s not my field of expertise. My flash judgement however, strongly feels you’ll do great things. 👍🏾

If there weren’t Hip Hop songs that covered a wide array of emotion, I could agree.

Che came from a well to do family & helped liberate Cuba. Buddha abandoned his wealth to help the common man achieve enlightenment. Moses was son of Pharaoh & chose to lead slaves. Sometimes it takes having opportunity to see how many others don’t.

I use to love sitting on the roof, watching sandstorms. Going outside after first rain. Fishing in my grandmothers village. Getting milk in the morning for grandmother. The whole family sleeping together under the stars. Now they all have separate rooms with AC. lol

It’s all good I expect this talk. Sudan is a difficult place to “make it” as an artist. Sudani artists raised in Sudan will either choose to see me as appropriator or opportunity. Either way I bring useful attention.

Having tea & Nile street made by Those lovely ladies is nice. I remember walking from Omdurman to the national museum. I’d force my Sudani cousins to go. They’d never been & didn’t care to learn of their history. They’d agree if I promised them chai on shar3 alnil.

Ask the source not the sauce. I was raised by my Sudani father & Sudani step mother in the largest population of Sudanese in America. I saw my mother on weekends.

I love music made purely for entertainment as much as the next person. What I love about Hip-Hop is that nothing is safe from it. Literally anything can be a song. Educational or entertaining. There’s room for it all.
