There are many female-headed households, some of whom have taken in kids separated from their families. They are worried about returning to their areas of origin & would like students to finish the school term. A community petition explained their concerns. OCHA will follow-up.

Tough times in camp.😕 A long delayed road rehabilitation project in and around the camp has left the access routes in a state of disrepair.🚧 When it rains, stagnant puddles of standing water impedes access for service providers.⛔️🚚 OCHA is following up.

As of 26 January, the camp has a population of 196 IDP families (806 individuals--including this curious young man). Out of the 196 families, 31 families belong to a pre-existing caseload, and the remaining families were relocated from Ninewa camps in September and October 2019.
