They “ran out of time.” Although, majority of Ss finished.

I'll stop by tomorrow afternoon. How much time did you give them? What type of assessment was it?

They had the full class period and it was the final assessment for Caesar.

I usually just hold them for a few minutes into the next class and have them finish. Somehow, that spurs them to finish quickly

I would grade what they have, they knew the time limit & if most students finished it is what it is. Practice for standardized tests.
