New scheme is encouraging strangers to talk to each other on public transport. has sent me onto the railways to try to speak to strangers for I am therefore sat on a commuter train being roundly ignored by all of my fellow passengers.

Javid expands. Set-up costs £500million. £200m a year for both sides to run the scheme. UK paying all costs, that makes a £400m annual cost of running a trusted trader scheme. Boris Johnson's insistence not to pay £39bn if there's no trade agreement is "too simplistic".

Sajid Javid says technology exists to solve the Northern Irish border question. He says he has seen the evidence as Home Secretary that shows it can be done within a couple of years. Set-up costs could be in the hundreds of millions, which UK would pay in its entirety.

Sajid Javid: "I'm a big fan of immigration. "It doesn't matter whether you're from India or France, you're treated the same. From speaking to people, they're concerned with having control over immigration rather than crude numbers." He'd ditch the net migration 100k target.

Sajid Javid says it's "hugely significant" that Ruth Davidson has decided to back his campaign. "We look incompetent. We haven't delivered on our central promise to deliver Brexit. We need to shake things up."
