Lord knows I’ve got many flaws as a boss. But I hope that this at least will never happen.... Famous last words....

They are right. As a campaigning force he is formidable. As leader of a government, less so. But nobody who wants to defeat him should think it will be easy.

He’s right. That’s exactly what it will take to beat Trump. Unfortunately neither of them will run.

Mark Spencer is one of the nicest people in the Conservative Parliamentary Party. Firm, fair, with his feet planted firmly on the ground. And he makes great pies!

Congratulations to Boris Johnson. If he is able to deliver a Brexit deal which protects jobs and preserves the union, I will be the first to praise him. If he tries to take us out of the EU with no deal, I will oppose him at every turn.

Elphicke will still vote with PM Johnson so it doesn’t change anything unless he is convicted and loses his seat

Looking forward to the sight of PM Johnson waving a block of cheddar cheese above his head as he urges dairy farmers and cheese makers to be optimistic about No Deal Brexit...

The demonisation of the Lib Dems for making compromises in coalition is one of the stupidest and most short-sighted things about our politics. No party is polling above 25 percent, ffs. If compromise is taboo, what exactly is your big plan here?

Don’t deny his moment of triumph. It won’t last. Like all the other political crushes he’s had over the years, Johnson will let him down...

So many Tories have ‘bent the knee’ to Boris Johnson in the expectation that he will favour them when he takes his place. Long marchers like Wallace and Berry. Hardline Brexiters like Baker and Rees Mogg. Careerists like Rudd and Hancock. Who will he disappoint?

The answer - if you are genuinely interested - is that we had a good deal - a deal that was much better than no-deal. We argued for it in the cabinet and voted for in the Commons. No-deal is unnecessary and damaging. The manifesto commits to an orderly withdrawal.

Let’s get this clear. If you want to remove me as the MP for Nottingham South or as the candidate at the next election because I stand up for equality. Bring. It. On.

There are lots of reasons to criticise Boris Johnson - and I mean a *lot* - but his partner, their relationship and what she wears isn’t one of them. Let’s do better please. The country deserves better political discourse.
