This thread is 🔥, as it reminds us that atrocities are not solely measured by how inhuman people can act, but by how indifferent they can be. To laugh, to sing, to dance, while only feet away people starve and suffer and die, is its own kind of war crime. Hell is for them, too.

*TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND* babies die EVERY YEAR from . 1 out of 160 pregnancies. Why is this common, unbearable tragedy unworthy of coverage? where is your coverage for Oct’s pregnancy & infant loss month?

This is exactly right. This is so overtly corrupt that it can't be viewed as anything but a loyalty test for Senators. If they are corrupt enough to look the other way, Trump will know he can do anything. In that case, he will do everything.

What about the human rights worker who was pulled from her car, raped, then stoned to death. Which kid is she, you treacherous and disgusting person.

Children need fairy tales to show them that, though the world can be brutal, there can also be great beauty. One can not only endure trials & traumas but overcome them. Fairy tales both help a child escape reality and, ultimately, face reality.

I hope this picture of Nancy Pelosi, the sole woman at the table, standing-up and speaking-up, inspires other bad-ass women to run for office.

Wow. We bombed our own base on purpose, because of the impulsive decision by didn’t leave time to evacuate the right way. Is this the America you grew up believing in?

How did I ever enjoy DANGEROUS LIAISONS (1988)?! Rewatching it as an adult, and I just can’t even with these two vengeful ex-spouses. Horrible, horrible people being horrible to each other and to others. And boo-hoo to Vicount’s ending. 🙄Good riddance! Jackass.

I've been talking with people about conferences a lot lately (it's that time of year when con organizers invite agents for the next year) and I figure it would be a good time to shed some light on conversations happening behind closed doors.

All of this is to say: —if you can't afford a con, there are other ways to do the thing. You will be fine —If you do a pitch with an agent, look at it as an opportunity to get personalized feedback from an expert. It does not need to be scary, nor is this your One Shot
