That's quite an aggregation. Do we have any idea why certain moths are lamp-shy ?

This Diving Beetle (?Dysticus Marginalis) was very active on the surface of my garden pond yesterday, brushing against weed and doing backflips. I thought it might have been injured but alternatively, do they moult at this stage of life?

Of the 14 species of dragonfly we've recorded at the meadows, Brown Hawker was the only one I hadn't manage to photograph. I normally see dragonflies in sunshine but this one was hawking along the track when it was nearly dark - it flew into my net allowing me to get some shots.

Went for the Bearded Vulture yesterday and got there just after it had flown, tried to relocate and ended up finding it flying overhead back were we started. Just an unbelievable sight.
