BREAKING: House Oversight is investigating whether US military expenditures have been propping up Trump Turnberry. A peculiar refueling stop in Glasgow by a US Air Force crew, who stayed overnight at the resort—there & back—tipped them off. Our exclusive:

One crew member was so struck by the choice of hotel—markedly different than the Marriotts and Hiltons the 176th maintenance squadron is used to—that he texted someone close to him and said the crew’s per diem allowance wasn’t enough to cover food and drinks at the ritzy resort.

Had the crew needed to make a stop in the U.K.—which they have never done before on this routine trip—Lakenheath Air Base is situated nearby in England. The layover might have been cheaper, too: the military gets billed at a higher rate for fuel at commercial airports.

“The Defense Department has not produced a single document in this investigation,” said a senior Democratic aide on the oversight panel. “The committee will be forced to consider alternative steps if the Pentagon does not begin complying voluntarily in the coming days.”

It should also be noted that the military has spent $11 million on fuel at Prestwick Airport — the closest airport to Trump Turnberry, where this particular crew’s plane refueled in March — since October 2017. That fuel would be cheaper if purchased at a U.S. military base.

Let me get this straight. Guardsmen are being forced to spend their per diem at Trump properties and make up the difference out of their own pockets. Did you get ahold of an advance copy of an American Greed script.

They were forced to stay in a place where the per diem allotment the govt gave them wasn’t enough to pay for their meals. These service members had to go hungry or line Trump’s pockets.

He’s picking the pockets of members of the military now. Robbing their per diem to enrich himself.

And then stole $$ from their families in the states by taking it from military projects like schools and spending it to build an expensive & unnecessary wall to prop up his sorry, corrupt af campaign. He is evil personified.

trump made servicemen go to his property and they had to spend their per diem - THEIR OWN MONEY - there. Our tax money - paid to our soldiers - who then are forced to spend it at a trump property - so it went into his pockets. Pretty slick money laundering really.
