I have found it. I'll send a rejection and you can resubmit right away with the correct email address! Otherwise it is difficult to communicate with you about your query. Ok?

Hi! I like it when authors use the How To Write a Short Synopsis guide on the Publishing Crawl website. Basically, the query should entice me with the story and the synopsis should spill all the important details, ending included.

And as always, only my opinions and preferences. All agents have different tastes so if I'm not looking for your style of book, I'm sure there is another agent who is! Be patient. Be kind to yourself. And love the journey that is writing!

In everything, polished writing and balanced pacing are a must. These fantasy stories are pretty much always on my wishlist! If you think your book needs a little more time, take that time. It's worth it. Don't query before you're ready - you want your best possible shot.

• Show me new fantasy creatures. Good guys, bad guys&best of all: the realistic in-between. Make sure these creatures - their culture or lore - are thoroughly developed. • Give your characters an unexpected goal. A throne? Predictable. Show me exciting twists on aspirations. 4/

• New ways magic is integrated into the world! Maybe pharmaceutical magic is legal but not others. Maybe those with certain abilities are renowned for something that is quite insignificant when the MC discovers what they can REALLY do. 3/

By "New applications of magic or fantasy elements," I mean... • New abilities! Show me someone who can magically manipulate food. Or makeup. Or equestrian equipment. Or dirt. • New styles of fighting! Verbal, magical, political, weapons. Make the action scenes feel NEW. 2/

Ignoring the typo... this is always on my wishlist for adult fantasy!!! Also: women with magic of all ages and stages of life, beautiful&interactive fantasy settings, rich cultural influence, and surprising new applications of magic or fantasy elements. 1/

Yes of course I do! I'm not sure how you got that impression. This Tweet says I am always eager to see neurodiverse characters.

Dinner! Cajun garlic shrimp with steamed broccoli. Roasted beans, butternut squash, fennel, zucchini, and baby potatoes. All with herbed olive oil, lemon, garlic, and cherry balsamic flavors. I LOVE cooking.

Yay! Just the cheesecake, and then we just ate all the rest of them. Of course we gave about half of them away too.
