The CA supreme court already set the rules in a unanimous decision. Gig companies have to play by the rules + can't deprive workers of their rights, just like every other CA company.

NYTWA members out in full force to protest surcharge on taxis and for hire vehicles, chanting “no more tax on drivers’ backs.” EIGHT NYC professional drivers died by suicide due to financial despair in little more than a year. We cannot take one more attack on the working class.

BIg news. A pendulum swing by the Dutch courts back to employee classification of delivery riders. It appears that the court was guided primarily by the FACTS relating to the performance of work in line with R198.

Meeting with a snake oil vendor doesn’t force you to buy it. Dynamex decision is a fair one. It’s time for Uber & others to follow the law, respect the rights of workers.
