Q: How can NYC protect LIC tenants from predatory landlords? A: We have affordable housing shortage in the city and it’s pushing working New Yorkers out. We must start a land bank and land trust to build 100% affordable housing on city owned vacant lots.

Q: How can the city ensure zoning restrictions and real estate developments deals don’t move forward without community input? A: Back door meetings about land use is not the way our city should operate. Communities must have a say in every part of the conversation.

Q: How can we make city contracting more effective? A: Our procurement process is outdated — we need to bring it into the 21st century and have a more transparent system that holds agencies accountable. Charter revision gives us the chance to do that.
