These showers will be most prevalent across the lower Columbia and northern Willamette River valleys, but cannot rule out a shower or two crossing the southern Willamette Valley around Corvallis, Albany and Eugene.

1045 AM | Scattered showers along the coast and over the Coast Range will spread into the lower Columbia and Willamette River valleys over the next couple of hours. Expect an alternating mix of sunshine and brief downpours this afternoon.

While radar looks rather benign at the moment, it’s quite wet in the Coast Range and across the foothills of the Cascades this AM. This off and on light rain will continue into this afternoon.

Be prepared for winter travel conditions across the Cascades this weekend & be sure to check with the for the latest road conditions & travel restrictions. Heavy snow will fall across the Cascades Saturday afternoon into Saturday night.

There will be an enhanced sneaker wave threat along the beaches Friday through Friday night. Be extra vigilant if visiting the beach. Stay away from logs along the waterline and avoid jetties.
