The pattern shifted keeping the strongest high pressure farther west while also allowing a weak cold front coming in from the east Monday night.

To reflect the most recent climate regime...the 30-year averages are updated every 10 years...so starting 1 Jan 2021 we will be using 1990-2020 averages.

No...the record is 143...set in 1989. 2020 is now tied for 3rd place with 2018...right behind 2nd place 2003...which recorded 129 days.

Based on 1981-2010 data...the average number of days at/over 100 degrees is 110.

The high today at Sky Harbor was 105 degrees...the 128th 100+ degree high temp of 2020!

That plume showing up on the GOES-16 visible imagery is the SearsFire NE of Cave Creek. Lets pray that the fire crews can get it under control soon!
