For those wondering what the beach looks like, here are some aerial photos taken this afternoon - Friday, September 25, 2020. Lots of boardwalks are damaged along the beach and we lost quite a bit of sand. As reminder, beaches will reopen on Friday, October 2nd.

Dry conditions continue over the area overnight with lows near 70 at the coast with mostly mid 60s elsewhere. Some patchy late night and early morning fog is possible well inland.

🌀So if we could keep it like this for the remainder of the season, that would be great! Hurricane season is not over but a period of less activity this week is likely. Maybe if we offer the hurricanes king cake and moonpies it will stay like this for the remainder of the season

😱WOW, inland flooding along the Fish river during Sally. 1 to 2 feet (yes feet) of rain caused significant inland flooding. This is why we emphasize to not focus on the category or cone as a storm doesn't have to be a cat 4 or 5 to cause major impacts. Thanks !
