Today's high temperature of 60 degrees at Chicago O'hare is the coldest high during the second half of June that Chicago's experienced in over a quarter century. The last time it was this cold during the second half of June was back on June 20,1992 when the high was 57 degrees!

Just drove from Crete to Bradley today..., less than 50% of the fields are planted in corn, most plants are just breaking the surface... itโ€™s gonna be a rough season for farmers in the area....

Or, it causes displacement of polar air masses and brings them South as jet streams and ocean currents fluctuate wildly given global warming. Just a thought.

A cooler then normal pattern in early summer doesn't mean anything. It's called weather. Weather patterns fluctuate on the regular, why's everyone so eager to connect weather events to global warmer constantly?

It goes both ways. Every time there is a hurricane above a cat 3 or a tornado outbreak everyone freaks out and blames climate change. We canโ€™t selectively blame some things that support the position but ignore things that detract from it.
