The 1st death in Nigeria has been recorded. The case was a 67 year old male who returned home following medical treatment in UK He had underlying medical conditions- multiple myeloma & diabetes & was undergoing chemotherapy Our thoughts are with his family

Kindly note that NCDC will not be commenting on the management of individual cases. The management of cases is the responsibility of States and treatment centres and they are doing their best under difficult circumstances.

Something doesn’t add up. This numbers re being reduced. How do you update 35 confirmed cases and suddenly someone dies and it’s 36 ?? Nigerian government re lying about the numbers.

This is what they don't tell you, he was waiting for the result of his tests till his case became severe. The NCDC test centres are probably overwhelmed. What is the government doing to get us more test centres? We should be testing people in thousands presently.
