Come to our Winter Book Fair! We'll be selling all kinds of second hand and new books, and the proceeds will go to a literacy program for kids from Dahab Island. It will take place on the 3rd of December, from 10 am to 7 pm.

Nope. This meme has hit way too close to home. I have some semi-occult mss scans on my laptop and fear the consequences daily.

I'm obscenely proud of this collection. They are all a joy to look at but if you're interested in images from a particular film, director, date or subject the search will get you there (or I haven't done my job).

This is a fold-out map of the haram in Medina from an early 20th century guidebook to visiting Medina, complete with maps, travel tips, dua' and some fiqh. It's in the collection. I'm toying with writing a journal article about this: how it transcends genre.

Happy day! May there be dancing in the streets! As an intellectual historian, my documents are huge and necessarily so, thus I couldn't use . Here goes several days of playing with the software!

We all get dua requests, many of them are on the more serious end. Today, I got a request to ask for the upcoming Cairokee concert in Alexandria to be in January so a friend can attend. Apparently, it's the same as making dua for his happiness.
