    Great news! Gay McDougall is one of the most respected int’l human rights and racial justice experts. She won 144 votes out of 174 voting countries despite ludicrous campaign by right-wing media attacking her principled and consistent record against racial injustice worldwide.

    This is great. Gay McDougall was a trailblazer and pioneer as the first UN Independent Expert on Minority Issues. She was followed by (also great she has been nominated for CERD). It is a pleasure and honour to advise the current mandate holder .

    Dark clouds of political violence are gathering in Kenya’s horizon. Leaders have forgotten how 2007 violence happened. They created the climate for the violence and destroyed credibility of institutions long before 2007. Small incidents grew into a catastrophe.
