Glad Percy is ok. We spent the morning rescueing a house martin chick out of the nest before he could fly. Once taken up the ladder he managed the flutter back to the nest himself so 🀞we did the right thing.

She sounds rather like ours! 😊Except they are a bit loopy to boot. just adjust the times to allow a couple of hours in the dark but judge on the way up what you are happy to do by head torch. weather not looking so great again .

You could go up and be on your way down in daylight about 5hrs then enjoy sunset and stars lower down.

Just seen your first tweet. A good path down Ben Nevis but you need to be careful with navigating of the summit as there is a sheer cliff to one side. Harveys map gives the bearings for this.

Depends on the mountain Often unavoidable in short daylight hours but we mostly prefer to be on our way down and past any difficulties before dark. & 2headtorches +Bear Lodge night navigation course.
